Left examples have the keyword "collective" on the OEBP.
Collective implies fuzzy (right-BP508). Collective Problems are often abstract (left-BP512). Subjective Problems (left-BP520) are often collective.
Collective Problems usually rely on a high probability that the solver's judgment will overlap with the Problem creator's for most examples, as long as enough examples are shown.
Collective Problems are borderline invalid; it is no longer necessarily possible for someone who knows the solution to sort a new unsorted example. However, the Problem is still "valid" in that is still possible for someone to parse the solution by seeing a random selection of examples from the pool of left examples and random selection of examples from the pool of right examples. |
